Gopal Prasad is awarded a Raoul Bott Collegiate Professorship. 2008
His professorship will be named in honor of Raoul Bott, a member of the U-M Mathematics faculty from 1951-1959. A Collegiate Professorship is one of the highest honors the College and the University can bestow upon an eminent member of the faculty.
The Humboldt Research Award for Senior U.S. Scientists is awarded to Gopal Prasad. 2006
This award is given to researchers with internationally recognized academic qualifications and honors the academic achievements of the award winner's lifetime. Award winners are invited to carry out research projects of their own choice in Germany in cooperation with colleagues.
