Title: Topological compactness and Stäckel finiteness
Abstract: There is a well known analogy between compactness and finiteness in Hausdorff topological spaces. This talk is intended to be an exploration of some questions arising from a proposed definition of topological compactness via such analogy, and some resulting set theoretic issues.
