Title: Equidistribution of horospherical flows
Abstract: Horospherical flows in homogeneous spaces have been studied intensively over the last several decades and have many surprising applications in various fields. In the talk we will discuss the cases in which one can expect horospherical orbits to equidistribute, and see how to use the mixing result we discussed last week to deduce such results in these cases. If time permits, we will elaborate on the main difficulties to getting an effective equidistribution result. This is a joint work with Jacqueline Warren.
