Learning Seminar in Representation Stability

Date:  Friday, January 28, 2022
Location:  1866 East Hall (4:00 PM to 4:50 PM)

Title:  Representation theory of oligomorphic groups

Abstract:   I will talk about work I'm doing with Nate on the representation theory of oligomorphic groups. Our work yields a better understanding of these Deligne interpolation categories, and also gives a source for a lot of new interesting tensor categories. There are interesting connections with model theory and combinatorics too. The talk should be accessible to everyone.
