RTG Seminar on Number Theory

Date:  Monday, March 28, 2022
Location:  4088 East Hall (3:00 PM to 4:00 PM)

Title:  The Fargues-Fontaine curve

Abstract:   We give an overview of the Fargues-Fontaine curve and its applications. After briefly discussing its construction and basic properties, we describe how it provides a geometric way to study Galois representations. While the talk is mostly expository, we will try to report some recent progress if time permits.
