Thin groups are discrete subgroups of Lie groups which are not lattices but are Zariski dense. They have found great interest and amazing applications in number theory, arithmetic combinatorics, geometry and dynamics. Topics include spectral gaps, Apollonian circle packings, strong approximation, approximate groups amongst others.
