The "view" of eGrade from the point of view of a student is shown in the figure below. There are three main 'tracks' through which the student may proceed, to view their results, register for a course (if it isn't marked as "closed" by the instructor or system administrator), or do an assignment (take a test). The assignment 'track' shown assumes that the test is in proctored mode with preAuthorization enabled.
The instructor's view includes options to see the gradebook, class editor, and testbank editor, among other things.
