2014 Research Experiences for Undergraduates |
|
Basic Information
Michael Zieve's REU program took place from February 24, 2014 to
June 13, 2014 at Tsinghua University. This year's program differed from those
in previous years, in that it took place during the academic year. Each student
had an individual project, and I met with each student for at least an hour each
week, in addition to meeting with the whole group for two hours each week to explain
background material and have students report on their progress. I thank Tsinghua's
Department of Mathematical Sciences and the Yau Mathematical Sciences Center for
making this experience possible.
