Administrative Matters

This is a preliminary, partial version of these lecture notes and should not be used as a
reference. I expect to change several of the topics in these notes and discuss other
instead. Modified versions of these notes will be provided as the semester progresses.
In this version, some of the internal references need to be corrected. Treatments of
supplementary background material will be posted as needed.
